about heather french

Heather graduated in 1984 from Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois with a B.A. in English Literature and a keen interest in health care writing and publishing. Heather began her career as an editor for a medical publisher in Chicago. Four years later, she established her own freelance writing business specializing in health and wellness articles, brochures and manuals. Her clients included the University of Chicago Hospitals and the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch (CINN). By 1990, Heather began working exclusively for CINN editing physician authored manuscripts and writing articles about new advances in the treatment of brain and back disorders. Heather also served as Editor of Synapse, a patient publication of CINN.

In 1995, Heather moved with her family to the island of Bermuda. She continued to work for CINN until 2001. While she was in Bermuda, Heather began studying energy kinesiology with Denise Gurney who is a faculty member of the International School of Professional Kinesiology Practice (ICPKP). Previously based in London, Denise was stationed in Bermuda with her husband, the deputy governor, during Heather’s time on the island.  The four-year degree program offered by ICPKP, which Heather completed in 2007, gave Heather a comprehensive foundation in energy kinesiology. After reaching a level 1 certification in the course, Heather opened her own private practice while she continued her studies. Through her practice, Heather has treated a wide range of clients with physical and emotional concerns.

Heather’s ongoing interest in neuroscience led her to explore the relationship between energy medicine and brain function. She created a brain integration exercise -- meditation routine -- for the students at her children’s school. Heather also led a team of volunteers who conducted this routine for the students each school day morning. Reading comprehension and math test results indicated that most children performed significantly better after participating in the routine. While most students benefited from this process, Heather noticed that children with attention problems often did not enjoy the same benefits. Eager to find a way to reach these children, Heather studied with Susan McCrossin, founder of Crossinology® Brain Integration Technique (BIT). Read more about Susan at www.crossinology.com.  Heather completed her BIT course work with Susan in 2005 and began treating clients in Bermuda with learning difficulties soon afterward.

In addition to the wide range of therapeutic skills Heather has developed through her ICPKP and BIT training, she continues to expand her knowledge in the field of vibrational medicine studying Applied Physiology with Adam Lehman and aspects of LEAP with Dr. Charles Krebs. (Read more about Charles here)

Heather returned to the United States and settled in Farmington, Connecticut in the fall of 2007 where she opened her new practice. She cares for children and adults throughout the northeast.
